Outta sorts...

There are plenty of times when the alarm goes off in the morning and I just let out this big sigh, and know that I NEED to get out of bed.

Then there are days when the frickin' alarm goes off, and I let out the big sigh and just want to curl up and cry. Some days its so hard to pull myself out of bed let alone get up and do the balancing act that our days entail. Some times you just want to roll over and not get up. I get into these little funks more often than I would like to admit. The funks are tending to take a little bit longer each time to get out of.

Seems like everything always hits at one time. And mind you they don't have to be anything significant. It could just be that the schedule got out of wack because of a little added blurp. Just irritates me. I know in reality that its silly...

So to keep from complaining on here too much....just a few photos/videos and I'll be off.

This is a little video on Daniel's idea of fun. You don't hear much from him but I am sure from his facial expression you can tell he loves it. And its a great work out on the legs! (for the person in front not so much for Daniel - although it does stretch his legs some

This video was taken at augmentative therapy. It was the first time we've ever done this. Daniel read a book on the computer and then had to answer questions about the story at the end. I would like to say I would be pretty impressed even if it wasn't my child. At least we know that the ability to retain what he is hearing works.

I know those funks all too well. Just remember, if they keep getting longer, get some help. It will only make you feel better.

LOVE the two videos! He did so well with his augementive device! As one of MM's docs says:

"Just cause his body won't, doesn't mean his mind don't".

Go Daniel!

We all get the funk from time to time.

Let me tell you. . . Daniel is a doll AND a smartie. Double threat.

Scary confession: I totally bit the neighbor boy when I was a kid because he wouldn't do what I told him. Hello? Bully?

I was just having a conversation about funks and how it takes me longer to get out of them too, and over such silly stuff that should take a minute or hour to get over.

Another video in which Daniel reminds me of Evan. He moves his left hand just like Evan does, which is Evan's more affected side. Daniel does amazing, Evan likes to push lots of buttons on his device.

And it was indeed. I am so very proud of him and how well he is doing. He continues to surprise me with his abilities every day!

I loved the part of the video when he hit "shoes" on purpose! Did you see that sly smile on his face? He was absolutely yanking everyone's chain with that move. You gotta love a kid with a sense of humor.

OH MY GOSH melanie that is SOO cool! So smart! That is amazing that he remembers everything and has the ability to answer the questions! I know you've been worried about his ability to communicate with you but it looks like he will be able to communicate VERY effectively! Gve him a big hug for us!
