Penny Pinching

Let me just say this BEFORE you watch the video.
Daniel does NOT have good use of his hands. He does not grab at things much. If he does, he uses his fist.

While watching this remember one month ago Daniel started a medicine called Zanaflex (to reduce the spasticity).

Now, HOW FRICKIN' COOL IS THAT??!?!?
This was the first time he's ever done it! We've tried it a long time ago but he could never do it.

I LOVE DAYS LIKE THESE!!

Yeah Daniel! Way to go bub!Sometimes pinching pennies can be fun!

Melanie, a few months ago I had emailed you saying that I was thinking of majoring in Special Needs Early Childhood Learning and a double major of Speech Language Pathology. Well After reading Daniel's blog for a while, reading of his struggles and triumphs. I have decide that yes, I am going to major in those. I want to help children like Daniel. I want to help them reach those triumphs and help them through their struggles. It will take me a while to get through all that schooling, but I will do it!

GO DANIEL!!

I'm sitting here in tears because it is so reassuring to see videos of other kiddos working hard just like Clayton to do everyday tasks. Glad we're not in this alone, and especially glad Daniel is making progress!
